Hello Everybody! Welcome to the Picture of the Day! This is a game where you can all practice your Spanish and English, but still have fun at the same time! Post your comments/titles/captions to this picture (both in Spanish and English) and vote for the responses you like. The best answer will be chosen soon on the basis of the answer I feel is the best, the fact that the person has corrected their post and possibly the number of votes. Please, give everyone a chance and only post more or less one caption and no photos. . Please encourage everyone with a vote. . .Please help each other with your English/Spanish sentences. And above all, have fun.

It seems the tandem aviation became fashionable not only for people but in the world of birds too.

The seagull (Herring Gull) on top sings a famous song by the English pop group, 'The Hollies' : "He ain't heavy ...he's my brother! " wink

Here is a link to this song on Utube / Aquí tienes un enlace para escuchar esta canción:en Utube: enter link description here

Drop me right on top of that guy's head. That will stun him, then we can steal his ice cream.

Emítame arriba Scotty yo dije, no me levante arriba.

Teletránsportame arriba, dije, no levántame arriba.

Beam me up Scotty I said, not lift me up .

Ray, I would say: Teletránsportame arriba, dije, no levántame I hope this helps :) - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
You would use the verb levantar not levantarse, because the second verb refers to lifting yourself up and is used for sentences where you talk about getting up in the morning ex Me levanto a las siete todos los días = I get up at seven every day - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
I hope this helps :) Very funny caption well done! I gave you a vote! :) - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
I couldn't find the verb you used emitar anywhere in my Oxford Spanish Dictionary Did you make up (invent) or guess the verb? - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
Thanks Feliz, it was the closest I could get it said mirror me , well that was close to beam so I took a punt, some translations gave it as "beam me " , so I went for it. - ray76, Sep 1, 2016
You are welcome, Ray :) - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016

Most of it looks fine to me, Rac! :) I am still unsure whether last bit is quite right - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
Rac, for your last part, I would probably put: "Sí, pesa mucho " instead of lo está. - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
Gracias, Feliz. :) - rac1, Sep 2, 2016

¡Por amor de Dios! Mildred!

For the love of God, Mildred! Do I have to do all the work? You could at least flap your wings occasionally.

Tricky one, Matt... I would say: Buenos amigos no permitten que sus amigos vuelen mientras están borracho,= Good friends don't allow their friends to fly (while) drunk but I am not sure about this one so perhaps best wait for confrmation from a native - FELIZ77, Sep 1, 2016
