Rolling Your R's

Rolling Your R's

I'm a Spanish 2 student who's been through Spanish 1. There's a background. So, does anyone have any tips on rolling their "r"s? I've been trying for about a year now, and my teacher says it's hard to explain, but I have faith in the forum. Thanks.

Here you have a link about this question. The video that is in my answer is for children with some difficulty in their diction, and is in Spanish but I think that it helps

This has been answered a number of times, but I had missed astotxua's previous helpful answer.

Here is something I have found helpful

Rolling rr Spanish Obsessed

Have you thought of asking your teacher?

I did ask. It just takes time apparently. - Stonebuns, Sep 1, 2016

Don't be afraid to experiment with your tongue position. Not every mouth is configured the same. I couldn't do it until I moved my tongue back to my hard palate. Something silly that helped me was to pretend I was a ringing telephone the way children used to do back in the days of land lines that all rang more or less the same: Brrring! Brrring!

That is a good idea Ann! When I was a kid I used to pretend I was gearing down a heavy truck with loud jake brake just for fun: Prrrrrrrrrrrr! :-) - LuisCache, Aug 31, 2016
