frenéticamente ( freh-neh'-tee-kah-mehn-teh )

adverb ( furiously )

There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.

Guidelines:

Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Todos los padres saben que es una experiencia horrible cuando su niño pequeno se pierde en una tienda o en una multitud, y entonces tienen que buscar frenéticamente hasta lo encuentran. Es el sentimiento peor.

All parents know that it is a horrible experience when their small child gets lost in a shop or in a crowd, and then they have to search frantically until they find him (or her). It's the worst feeling.

Negative imperatives in Spanish trigger the subjunctive. It's better to say: "no busques". - Oshnaj, Aug 26, 2016
Onya mate , have a wee badgie :-)! - Jraider, Aug 26, 2016
Hey, mate, "para" is not necessary here. Buscar means to look for. - Daniela2041, Aug 27, 2016
Thanks Oshnaj. - ray76, Aug 27, 2016

Mientras busco frenéticamente lo que sé que tuve sólo un pocos momentos antes, de repente me doy cuenta de que debería pedirle ayuda a mi esposa, ella siempre sabe donde he puesto cualquier cosa que haya perdido.

As i search frenetically for what I know I had only a few moments before, suddenly it dawns on me that I should ask my wife for help, she always knows where I have put whatever thing that I have lost.

The twenty sharks swam (ie: were swimming) frenetically around the large fishing boat in the Mediterranean ocean! They were ravenously hungry and were looking for their next meal! They could smell blood and were determined that nobody was going to stop them! The only question in the minds of the sailors on board was, was anyone going to survive?!

enter image description here

¡Los veinte tiburones estaban nadando frenéticamente alrededor de la barca pesquera grande en el océano mediterráneo! ¡Tenían un hambre devoradora y estaban buscando su próxima comida! ¡Podían oler sangre y estaban resueltas (o decididos) a que nadie se los impidan! ¡La única pregunta que estaban pensando los marineros en la barca de pesca fue ¿alguien iba a sobrevivir!

o debería escribir:: ¿ninguna persona iba a sobrevivir!

Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor smile
