Often in English my friend will ask me something like "Who has the sandwiches?". I would respond, "He has them on him"

How would you express this idea in Spanish, specifically the idea that someone is physically carrying or holding an item.

Gracias para ayudarme.

Why use "on him" if he is with you it is superfluous. - ray76, Aug 23, 2016
I would never say , he has it "on him" unless it was an article of clothing , we would say ," with him " or simply "Jake has them " . - ray76, Aug 23, 2016

You are asking about an idiomatic phrase used in English that can actually be said somewhat idiomatically in Spanish, ie: Él los lleva / Él los trae (in this case of "the sandwitches").

In addition to "El los lleva/El los trae, many times we add the word consigo, which literally means "with him" El los lleva consigo.
