Hello everyone.

I usually saw a lot of example like this in Spanish " Yo soy médico " which means I am a doctor but I don't see people use articles a lot, should it be Yo soy uno médico ?

Thanks

This article includes, in a list of When NOT to use Indefinite Articles,

When not referring to a specific item, but rather the idea of the thing.
This is common when using nouns as adjectives like professions, religions,
nationalities, tools, etc.

The simpler answer is this.

When speaking of professions we do not use the article, EXCEPT when we add an adjective.

EX. Soy profesora. (no article) Soy una buena profesora. (article)

Short rule: No adjective no article. Use adjective, use article.
