Explanation of Slang Words

This question was closed with the reason being that the words in question were not Spanish words, but in fact they are:

SpanglishLiz .............. 1) What's the difference between pompis, pompas, and nachas? 2) Is one better than the other when speaking with my young children? (Ex: Please sit on your bottom) 3) Would you use one of these terms or trasero when speaking with adults? (Ex: The chair was hurting my behind)

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Las pompas / pompis are slang words used in Mexico meaning las nalgas (not "nachas"). There is nothing vulgar about them. The first two are commonly used for children and the last word for adults, which translates to buttocks. El trasero / la parte trasera could be used as well with anybody.

I knew nalgas. I looked up pompis in word reference and it seems in Spain it is el pompis whereas Mexico says las pompis. The thread suggests pompis is used talking to young children.
