Going back to check your answers
I have noticed lately that some members don't return to check and see if their answers are correct or have been corrected. I know how busy you all must be, I am too, but please do your best to check them. I also know, at least for now, we don't always have a correction made to our Spanish entries, but we don't have one designated person that will stay with it. It's a big job and people come and go.
Until we get someone who has the time to do this everyday, please, if you see a mistake, correct it. Let's all work together on this.
Thank you so much!

I endorse what you say Amber entirely. Remember that those of us living
in the southern hemisphere need a little longer because of the time difference.
Please remember to thank those who correct your posts.
The Hispanoblantes work very hard with no compensation except your thanks.
I don't correct for everybody, but I do for certain ones who I know will appreciate it. I can tell that they appreciate it by viewing the change, and sometimes a comment.
There are others even friends, to whom I occasionally throw correction, and it will be ignored. My time is severely limited. I just grab a few minutes here and there where I can, and throw in my two cents worth, whether it be a needed correction or post an answer.

We should always make the effort to check our posts such as Picture and Word of the Day if we are serious about improving our Spanish (or English if it applies) because:
1.The native speakers who post corrections such as Daniela, Pablo and Luis work extremely hard to check our sentences and offer the best corrections possible! They receive nothing except our gratitude and the satisfaction of seeing us learn from our mistakes and see us make progress! Please make it worth their while!!! ![]()
2.If we do not check and make corrections to our posts how do we possibly think we will learn from our mistakes? We are likely to keep on making the same mistakes if we fail to learn from them ...then make little or no progress and become discouraged!
Many years ago when Heidita was here she PM'd me and asked me if I would be willing to offer corrections to a thread. I agreed to do this ..it took a lot of time especially as I am not a native speaker. The most discouraging aspect was seeing few if any people come back to check their posts after all the effort I had put in to offering the corrections! Over a period of about 3 months I felt so discouraged I wanted to quit! I know from first hand experience how demoralizing it can be to see people ignore all your hard work!
So please, everyone make a big effort to correct your posts! I also feel discouraged whn nobody corrects my Spanish as sometimes I do not know if I have written parts of it correctly! ![]()
