Hi , I notice that this is your first foray into the forum so welcome , that is worth a vote from me . - ray76, Jul 11, 2016
Culture then context seems appropriate here (Barcelona or México might be different from the Argentine or Costa Rican). or the Costa Rican). - oledog, Jul 11, 2016
@ray76: Thank you for the vote. I agree with you "It is so difficult to translate poetry especially when used in song , even with the context it is problematical." So, I have to try my best and after that, call for help in this forum :-) - - baonguyen5515, Jul 11, 2016

Hello baonguy,

Welcome to the SpanishDict forum wink

You asked:

The singer is singing: Todo el bien, todo el mal = which in the context I am fairly sure simply means: All the good, (and) all the bad

However, it would be helpful if you could add the full context. What are the rest of the lyrics, please?

When translating between diffrent languages, the context is critical in offering accurate translations wink

I hope this helps smile

Corrijan mi español si es necesario, por favor smile

I was going to put the same thing. Context or not. - Daniela2041, Jul 11, 2016

Thank you for the confirmation, Dani :) - FELIZ77, Jul 11, 2016
Yes, it can be problematic, Ray . However, this was one of the easier ones to do. When faced with the more complex ones and no context all you can do is 1. Ask for more context and/or 2. Offer some of /all of the possible alternatives! : - FELIZ77, Jul 11, 2016
Hi Feliz77 Thank for the respond. I agree with your answer. In fact, I've guessed it may be means : "(the people in the song) love his woman with all the good, and therefore will accept all the bad, too." But this is only my guess, and i'm not sure it. - baonguyen5515, Jul 11, 2016
