Harrellleducation, welcome to Spanish dIct :) Please only ask your question once! People will respond as soon as they are able and asking it more than once will not guarantee you a quicker or better response and usually just annoys people Thank you :) - FELIZ77, Jul 1, 2016

Surprise! Nobody built Machu Pichu... because that does not even exist! On the other hand, someone did build Machu Picchu. And that's for real. A Google search can answer your question in a matter of seconds!

Keep on learning, my friend. And remember: it's important to learn how to spell the words correctly.

Welcome to the forum. It does not help to answer your own question, in fact it might make people think you have been answered. This is a language learning site, not a history site. If you plan on learning Spanish and continuing to participate please fill in your profile.

This type of question is best addressed simply by typing it into google.

Good answer, Bosque! I agree with most of what you have said, but I'm sure that we do have have a category for cultural questions related to language, and language and culture are inseperable and inextricably linked, and one affects the other so it is not - FELIZ77, Jul 1, 2016
unreasonable to ask such a question , but as you have rightlly pointed out a google search is more than likely to produce the desired results :) - FELIZ77, Jul 1, 2016
Good one Bosque , thanks. - ray76, Jul 2, 2016
