Confusion in sentence translation

Confusion in sentence translation

I came across two translations for the following sentence, “The mosquitos bit us and the sun burned us.” One translation was, “Nos picaron los mosquitos y nos quemó el sol.” The other translation was, “Los mosquitos nos picaron y el sol nos quemó. I would like to know whether both are correct or, if not, which one is.”

Thank you for any replies.

They are both correct. Spanish word order is a little freer than English.

I would wonder how it would sound if you put one part sov and one ovs- ie combine the first half of one with the second out of the other. Or if you need to be consistent with the order.? :) - bosquederoble, Jun 24, 2016
It's probably better to be consistent, although when speaking it is sometimes difficult to do so. - Daniela2041, Jun 24, 2016
Thanks, just working at trying to train my instincts. :) - bosquederoble, Jun 24, 2016
