Explaining alternating time periods. Please check our text.
Our Intercambio Group wants to do some advertising and we have had our text in English supplied in Spanish but we are a little concerned that the Spanish may not be accurately explaining the way we run the group. We are hoping someone can check and advise if we need to change it.
The way that we run is that we have half an hour of everyone speaking English, then half an hour of only Spanish, then half an hour of English only, then half an hour of Spanish only. Or the opposite order ie Spanish, English, Spanish, English, depending on the group preference on the night.
In English we have written; "From 8pm to 10pm we alternate speaking only in Spanish or English for 30 minutes each. That way we all have the opportunity to practise our target language. After 10pm we revert to social chat in the language of your choice."
The Spanish translation we have is; "De 20h a 22h hablamos 30 minutos sólo en inglés y otros 30 minutos sólo en español. Así todos tenemos la oportunidad de practicar nuestro idioma preferido. Después de las 22 volvemos a charlar en la lengua de tu preferencia."

Although not an exact translation, it's close enough and is very easy to understand.
I would make a couple of changes: "De 20h a 22h hablamos 30 minutos sólo en inglés y los 30 minutos siguientes sólo en español. Así todos tenemos la oportunidad de practicar nuestro idioma objetivo. Después de las 22h volvemos a charlar en la lengua de tu preferencia."
