Alternative way instead of infinitive with different subjects

Alternative way instead of infinitive with different subjects

I know my title does not make much sense, but I didn't know how else to word it. Anyways, how would I say these sentences without using the infinitive? It just doesn't sound right to me to use the infinitive with a change in subject. I usually see the infinitive used with the same subject, so this to me is new.

Escucho hablar el poeta.? I listen to the poet speak.

Escucho al poeta habla?

La ví bailar.? I saw her dancing.

La ví está bailando? Or Le ví está bailando?

Siento calentar el sartén.? I feel the frying pan heating up.

Siento que el sartén está calentando?

Huelo cocinar la sopa. ?I smell the soup cooking.

Huelo la sopa cocinando?

I'm sorry but I' m not agree with your corrections chivi.

-Escucho hablar AL poeta.

-Está bailando.

-Siento que la sartén se calienta o siento como se calienta la sartén.

-Siento que la sartén se está calentando o siento que la sartén está calentándose .

Huelo la sopa cocinándose. Or huelo como cocinan sopa.

Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing your views! The only question I have is the last sentence "Huelo como cocinan sopa". Why did you use cocinan? - Ramonaspiker, Jun 14, 2016
I'm not sure about it, but I suppose that having an indefined subject the choosing of the 3 plural person is because at this way I include if the subjetc is a person or more - 000a35ff, Jun 14, 2016
Hmm do you think it would be better to say "Huelo como sopa cocida? - Ramonaspiker, Jun 14, 2016
You are saying that your person, body, smell like soup - 000a35ff, Jun 14, 2016
Huele a sopa cocida - 000a35ff, Jun 14, 2016
Of course astotxua is correct about "se" "al" and "sartén" as feminine. I overlooked that doing copy and paste - sorry - 005faa61, Jun 14, 2016
Ok thanks Astotxua! Does "Huelo como cocinan sopa" mean I smell the soup cooking? And what does "Huele a sopa cocida" mean? - Ramonaspiker, Jun 14, 2016
