Future progressive

Future progressive

Present progressive is estar conjugated in the present + present participle

Past progressive is estar in the imperfect tense + present participle

How about future? Would it be like this?

They will be singing. Ellos estarán cantando. Ellos van a estar cantando.

Which form do you guys use more? The ir a + infinitive or estar (future) + present participle

Well, the imperfect can be translated as "was doing something." Cantían cuando se rompió la ventana. They were singing when the window broke. To answer your question: why not? - garypopkin, Jun 8, 2016
Thanks Gary! How often do Spanish-speaking people use the estar (future) + present participle instead of the ir + a + infinitive? - Ramonaspiker, Jun 8, 2016

Creo que ir a + infinitive es más común:

Parece que va a llover. (El cielo se está nublando.)

Parece que hoy estará lloviendo todo el día.

Looks like it's going to rain (The sky is clouding up).

Vamos a llegar a medianoche.

Estaremos llegando a medianoche.

We will arrive at midnight.

Though it's fairly uncommon in standard use, you've got it exactly right.

Estará trabajando cuando llegues.

He/she/it will be working when you arrive.

Hope this helps =)
