Studying while hiking

Hey everybody, I'm gearing up for a month long hike in the woods in July, and afterwards I'm going to be moving to central america for a while. I'm studying every day currently, but obviously I won't be able to have very many study materials on my hike as weight becomes a real issue with what you pack. What would you suggest as being the most effective way to keep my chops up while I'm in the woods so I'm not completely rusty by the time I leave for central america?

Hi Ben! Welcome to the forum. I hope you continue to share your learning and experience with us. Please remember that In English countries are capitalized: America (although not a country: Central America). Thanks! - Jubilado, Jun 8, 2016

Good luck and have a great trip! I would suggest an audio course that you can download onto an mp3 player. I used the Pimsleur course. Though a bit pricey, it is excellent. There are 5 levels of thirty 30-minute lessons for each level, and you can buy bits at a time.

When you get a moment, please fill out your profile with your fluency level so that maybe we can give you a little more help and info.

Thanks for the info! I couldn't figure out how to put fluency in my profile. For the most part I'd consider myself advanced beginner. I studied in college, went to costa rica for a month to study, still struggle with recall during conversation. - Benpmelton, Jun 7, 2016
Thanks Winky. - ray76, Jun 7, 2016

Quick Study charts, they are laminated pages with all the basics. You can find them on line and at most colleges and universities. They weigh almost nothing, don't use batteries and are all weather durable. I bought Spanish verbs and Spanish grammar for my backpack many years ago and still reference them occasionally.
