Has any spanish speaker heard of this idiomatic expression.

estar como unas castañuelas - literally means 'to be like a pair of castanets' But its real expression meaning is 'to be as happy as Larry or as can be'.

To repeat, names of languages are capitalized (capitalised) in English. You are constantly posting "spanish." Please correct. Thank you. - Jubilado, May 19, 2016

I have heard of it. I'm from Spain, and castañuelas are widely used by Spanish dancers when dancing the "flamenco" I don't know if it's used any where else though. I have never heard my Mexican friends use this phrase.
