'También confié en Sun Tzu: Art of War - The New Translation, de J,H. Huang, publicado por Harper Paperbacks, para algunas traducciones así como para el context histórico dificíl de encontrar.'

My translation: I also trusted in Sun Tzu: Art of War - The New translation, of J.H. Huang, published by Harper Paperbacks, for some translation as well as for the historical context... etc

I get confused as to whether the sentence ends 'that is difficult to find' or is 'for the difficult historical context of finding(?)'.

This sentence is really confusing, thank you!

You need to provdie the part before the first papa in order to get a good translation. - gringojrf, May 18, 2016
Put the complete paragraph, and first, give it a try. This is a learning website, i will help you, but you need to try - EleRo, May 18, 2016
Without the first part it is impossible to make a proper translation. - annierats, May 18, 2016
That's correct, EleRo. :) - rac1, May 18, 2016
This site is rather infamous for being incapable of helping solve any problems and mostly seems to be a bunch of amateurs patting themselves on the back. The pointing out of English grammar rules is rather annoying especially when none of you follow them - kingdonshawn, May 19, 2016
yourselves. I think it may be a typo since it wasn't immediately known what it was trying to say. This is the last time I'll post here. - kingdonshawn, May 19, 2016
'first, give it a try.' Perhaps your ignorant **** is incapable of reading but I did translate it, and I used proper punctuation and grammar. Put the complete paragraph and give it a try. This is a learning website - I will help you but you need to try it - kingdonshawn, May 19, 2016
yourself first! **** You're welcome, dumbass. - kingdonshawn, May 19, 2016

okay now that you have provided context I think it means, as you have suggested, ...difficult to find.

Is there maybe a comma missing after histórico?

No there is no comma and could you explain the grammar rules on this one. It's in the book El Arte de la guerra para la pequeña y mediana empresa. - kingdonshawn, May 19, 2016
It is confusing to me as well. If thre was a comma it would separate the last part into a separate clause that would then translate as you suggested as ...diffivult to find. Without a commo I can't say what it means. - gringojrf, May 19, 2016
Marked it as best, thanks! - kingdonshawn, May 19, 2016
difficult not diffivult. - gringojrf, May 19, 2016

Well, from what I found, "confiar en" can also mean "to rely on" and "algunas" can also mean "a few."

My try would be "Also I relied on Sun Tsu ... for a few translations as well as for the hard-to-find historical context."

I hope this helps.

wink
