Hello, I need to write a paragraph/essay (10-15 sentences) answering the following prompt. Please let me know what I need to change in my answer to be grammatically correct.
Imagina que tienes la oportunidad de darle al presidente de tu país tu opinión sobre su política (policy) medioambiental. Explícale (usando el condicional) lo que tú harías para resolver los problemas que amenazan el medio ambiente y describe (usando el futuro) qué pasará si no se resuelven.
Nuestro medio ambiente está en peligro, y sólo se puede guardar con la ayuda del gobierno. Afortunadamente, hay muchas cosas que podemos hacer para ayudar al medio ambiente. Aquí hay algunas cosas que haría. Aumentaría la pena por tirar basura, y haría que la policía hacer cumplir las leyes sobre el vertido de productos químicos tóxicos en la basura y el alcantarillado. Our environment is in danger, and can only be saved with the help of the government. Fortunately, there are many things we can do to help the environment. Here are some things I would do. I would increase the penalty for throwing trash, and make the police enforce the laws about dumping toxic chemicals in the trash and the sewer. Without these changes, the water will be dangerous to drink and many animals will get sick. I would invest more money and research into renewable energy, and I would decrease our output of greenhouse gases. Otherwise, the earth will keep getting warmer due to global warming. The sea levels will rise and many species (like polar bears) will go extinct. I would make it very easy to recycle, and would give better incentives to bring in recycled materials. This will decrease deforestation and will protect the beautiful land we have. Finally, I would try to make the citizens care more about the land they live on. This may be the hardest part, but if the people care about the earth, they will work to protect it.
