Spanish attributive verbs/Adjetivos Verbales

Hola a todos.

Me preguntaba como se dicen verbos que actúan como adjetivos. Por ejemplo: en inglés, se dice: "The talking robot." El verbo "to talk" (hablar) se convierte en un adjetivo (talking) para describir el robot. ¿Cómo se hace esto en español? ¿Sencillamente sería "el robot que habla"?

I was wondering how are verbs that act like adjectives said in Spanish. For example: in English, it is said: "The talking robot." The verb "to talk" is turned into a an adjective (talking) to describe the robot. How would this be said in Spanish? Would it simply be "the robot that talks (El robot que habla)?

I think you nailed it. El robot que habla.

The translator says El robot parlante. But there probably will not always be an alternative to using the verb.

If he talks a LOT (chatterbox) You can call him "el robot hablador."

But robot que habla is the correct term. The picture is what the Iranians have come up with.

Hablador was my first thought. Then I looked it up and read the definition. But at least with a robot hablador there is an off switch whereas with a person hablador no such luck. jajaja - gringojrf, May 13, 2016
