I'm sorry, but there are sooo many errors here that it would require a total rewrite. Some of the sentences are not understandable, which is what happens when one uses a dictionary, not knowing the structure of the language. If you could include the - Daniela2041, May 14, 2016
English, it would be a lot easier to correct. - Daniela2041, May 14, 2016
You even used some words such as "hoe" which is not Spanish. - Daniela2041, May 14, 2016
Hoe is a famous area of Plymouth not the garden tool. - Mardle, May 14, 2016
Thanks for adding your language level and gender. The adjectives relating to you would have been different if you were female - Mardle, May 14, 2016

Welcome to the forum. Can you add your gender and level of Spanish and English to your profile? I assume fluent English and beginner on Spanish.

I do not have the time to go through it all at the moment but some notes

  1. Check your adjectives agree with the nouns [the fancy word is concordancia]

  2. Gustar - it effectively means it is pleasing to me. It is 3rd person singular becoming 3rd person plural if the noun is plural. It is followed by a noun - me gusta chocolate or the infinitive if it is about a verb me gusta cantar

  3. Plymouth está situada en el soroeste - note accent on esta as it is the verb estar and the a on situada as city is femenine. soroeste - having lived in Somerset and Hampshire I think of Devon as South West.

  4. Numbers - veinticuatro - one word. Veinte mil [20,000]

  5. Check your verb endings - ellos = 3rd person plural

6 cierra is close opposite of abierto open - you need close to = cerca

I have to go now. Someone may correct the whole piece for you. Meanwhile read it through again and add your language level and gender.

buena suerte

I have more time, but I am not going to rewrite your piece.

Please add your language level to your profile.

If you are very new to Spanish your teacher is looking for short basic and hopefully correct answers. You need to check for errors. Eg sometimes you get gustar correct then wrong and you keep using the wrong verb endings.

If you put your basic English phrases in a translator you would get a better result

I like to go to the cinema Me gusta ir al cine Ir because gustar here goes with infinitive al, because ir is followed by a and cine is masculine so = a el which contracts to al.

Daniela has queried the use of 'hoe' which is not in Spanish. However, I'm sure many people in Spain have docked near the Hoe and have heard that Sir Francis Drake was playing bowls there before he defeated the Spanish Armada! It is actually an Anglo Saxon word. Perhaps you could write 'the Hoe' the famous grassy area overlooking the sea. In Suffolk there is an Anglo Saxon burial area known as Sutton Hoo which probably comes from the same route.

Why not start again writing basic sentences and submit them here one at a time? You will get more response if you add your gender and language level to your profile.

NB people on this site are from all over the world - most put their location on their profile which helps if you want words from a particular area - conducir is the word used in Spain for driving but having been to Mexico I know manejar is used there. I expect you are learning the vocabulary of Spain particularly as you can get a ferry to Spain from Plymouth. I remember watching Rick Stein starting his food programme in Spain stepping off the ferry at Santander.

Thank you all very much, you have been very helpful and I have now taken the time with your help and the help of a friend to correct my answers. I hope this is better! - tdennison, May 14, 2016
Good luck - it still needs rereading for agreement on adjectives etc - Mardle, May 14, 2016
yes, Plymouth Hoe is very famous in England! - annierats, May 14, 2016

In addition to Mardle's response, I would also check the following:

  1. Yo estudio negocios internacionles y juego al lacrosse. When referring to a sport or game, you use jugar + al (masculine)/ a la (feminine) + sport.
  2. Check accents. Estar is conjugated estoy, estás, está, estamos, están, etc.
  3. Numbers up to thirty are written as one word.
  4. De + el is written as del. A + el is written as al.
  5. Make sure verbs correspond with the right person. "Ellos van a la hoe y juegan a los deportes...
  6. " es muy bonitos y precioso" Unnecessary
  7. "Tiene muchos libros" Rule of thumb: muy is for adjectives and mucho is for nouns. And you don't use muy and mucho beside each other.
  8. Voy en coche a mi casa de madres. I would use a different verb, such as conducir o manejar instead of Voy.
  9. "No me gusta estudiando en la biblioteca pero me gusta studio espanol" After gustar, you use the infinitive version of the verb. No me gusta estudiar.
  10. "Mucho de" I'm assuming you think this is the English version of "a lot of". However, it is okay to use muchas tiendas; it sounds cleaner.

There are a lot of spellings errors and verb-noun agreement problems. I would recommend rewriting all of your answers and take your time. Buena Suerte smile

This is a lot better but you are missing lots of accents eg fútbol, badmínton está - cine is still masculine Me gusta estudiar Some phrases seem odd but your teacher will expect some mistakes. - Mardle, May 14, 2016

No 3: If your friends decided to join Plymouth University, what would you tell them to do or not to do? Cuando mi amigos venga para quedarse, ellos van a la barbican porque hay tiendas y las bonitas vistas. Ellos vamos a la hoe y jugáis los deportes, es muy bonitos y precioso. Ellos va a la playa en Cornwall. Ellos estudias en la biblioteca porque es grande y tiene libros muy mucho.

I feel it would be wrong to re-write a piece of home-work but full marks for trying hard. Some hints: No 3 might be better started with ' Si mis amigos vienen a Plymouth para estudiar .. ' ( this avoids the hassles of the subjunctive , which maybe you've not started on yet. ). Then pay attention to which person you're talking about, they, ellos, 3rd person plural, for example. Conjugate accordingly and it will improve your answer a lot. The Hoe and the Barbican are proper names and take capital letters in both languages. I think I would use 'el ' for them. Your teacher will expect mistakes, don't worry overly, but do try to get the accents right, it looks sloppy not to bother with that.

I undestand that they are asking what would you say to your friends if they decided to join to Plymouth university, what to do or not do. Something like, les recomendaría visitar el gimnasio de la universidad, e ir a los juegos de locrosse. Les recomendaría poner el teléfono en vibración durante las clases.
