Como se dice "Startup Company" ?
Is there any right term to describe such a company (usually a technology-based/computers-company)?

Hi Dave I'd like to add... Start-up company is an "Emprendimiento", a very popular word in Latin-American Spanish (not accepted by Real Academia though! so I'd guess it's not a known word in Spain, not sure). Anyways... that word comes from "emprender" wich means "to undertake" and it's been related to "to take a risk" or "to go for adventure or to find somethig"; nowadays, to run a new business a start-up....Ejemplo: Deseamos emprender en computación y aplicaciones para dispositivos móviles.... comenzaron con un emprendimiento en/de bebidas refrescantes y ahora son una gran compañía especializada.
So we just got Emprendimieto (start-up) and Emprendedor (new businessman)
Empresa emergente is a tech word for a business magazine (something special hehe) I wouldn`t use during a daily-based situation and "nueva empresa" is fine!
Espero que le sirva de algo. Saludos
Nueva empresa. There are, at least in Spain, no tax reliefs, no help for start-up companies, therefore the phrase as such is pretty useless and just refers to the fact it is a young enterprise.
