There are five "simple" tenses in the indicative mood. Five compound tenses in the indicative mood (10 so far) Now in the subjunctive mood there are two simple tenses and two compound tenses 14 total. Spanish has the most complicated verb system outside of Latin or Greek. I suggest that you study a course in Spanish, class or home study.
In this manner you will be introduced to each tense one at a time.
