Have I made any mistakes in this text?
En el siglo catorce el pueblo fue gobernaba por los piratas, por lo tanto el pueblo y el puerto se convertían sin ley y vida era peligrosa. En defensa, el Arzobispo en ese momento construía una torre. En el siglo diecinueve se construyó la estación de trenes que atraía turísticas y nuevos residentes.
In the 14th Century, the town was governed by pirates, therefore the town and the harbour became lawless and life was dangerous. In defense, the Archbishop at the time built a tower. In the 19th Century, a train station was built which brought in tourists and new residents.
I'm not sure if it's "nuevos residentes" or "residentes nuevos"?

You also said in English "a" train station, but in Spanish you said "the" (la) train station.
Nota: sometimes "to become" is difficult to translate, because it has different meanings (in Spanish) depending on how it is used. "Llegar a ser" is one translation (arrived to be)
"hacerse" is another. Pablo se hizo abogado. Pedro became a lawyer.
I used "se encontraron" to express that they found themselves to be without law. (Just a suggestion.)
