Imperfect vs. Preterit Proofread

¡Hola! For my Spanish 3 class, we have to write about our childhood using the preterit and imperfect tenses. I was wondering if anyone would look over my writing and tell me if the tenses are correct and if there are any other errors. ¡Muchas gracias!

Your use of imperfect / preterite is excellent. For other stuff, I suggest: Subimos muchas atracciones. ¡Fue un viaje excelente que no lo voy a olvidar!

Hello Spfitz,

Welcome to the SpanishDict forum smile

I agree wth Julian that you have used the imperfect and preterite tenses very well ...great work! smile

You said/asked:

I think there is a genuine mistake here at the end of line 4:

Era muy grande y habían muchas estatuas Should be habian in the plural since you are talking about there being many statueS (plural!)

Another point is a personal preference which is a matter of style, not a correction: alternatively you can say: Viajamos a DisneyWorld rather than "hicimos un viaje a DisneyWorld"

Finally, is the name of the hotel: Hotel Primero? if it is, you need to capitalise it like I have done here

If however, you meant to say: When we arrived at Disneyworld we went to the hotel first I would have said: Al llegar a DisneyWorld, / Cuando llegamos a DisneyWorld, primero fuimos al hotel. = On arriving at Disneyworld / When we arrived at DisneyWorld, we went to the hotel first. The way you phrased it made it sound like you went to a hotel called Hotel primero. I hope you don't think I am being pedantic here, but word order can affect meaning. wink

Great work, keep it upsmile

I hope this helps smile
