There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. En un anuncio, una empresa ha mostrado que es posible combinar cosas que a la gente le parecen monos monas, como un perrito, un verdadero mono y un bebé, y crear algo que no es tan mono.
In an advertisement, one company has shown that it is possible to combine things that seem cute to people, like a puppy, an actual monkey, and a baby, and create something that is not so cute.
Ella parece ser mona, pero en realidad ella es un asesina mortal.

Un cuento verdadero:
Después de que les mostré a unos amigos colombianos una foto de mi nieto, me dijeron, “¡Qué mono!” Pensé ¿Eh? mi nieto no es un mono es un joven muy guapo, pero los entendí inmediatamente cuando lo explicaron. Un día estaba comiendo un mango sentado en cuclillos cuclillas en la cocina con el jugo manando corriendo en mis manos y barbilla y me dije, “Como este mango como un mono.” Todos rieron.
True story:
After showing some Colombian friends a photo of my grandson, they told me, “How cute!” (What a monkey??) I thought What! my grandson isn’t a monkey he’s a handsome young man, but I understood immediately when they explained it. One day I was eating a mango squatting in the kitchen with the juice running down my hands and chin and I said, “I’m eating this mango like a monkey.” Everybody laughed.

Todos los bebés de algunas especies son monos, como humanos or cachorros o corderos. Se dice que esto es para asegurar que los padres les cuidan. En otras especies no es importante ser mono porque los padres no les cuiden, como arañas o peces. No sé si esto es verdad. De hecho creo que es mucho más complejo que esto.
