Dejame + infinitive vs Deja que yo + subjunctive

Hola a todos.

I was wondering about the different ways to say "Let me [do something]. I have seen both of these forms.

For example "let me see": Dejame ver or Deja que yo vea

They both seem to translate the same, but are there certain situations in which one is used over the other, or is one simply more rare than the other?

The first one is nore used. The second one is "usually" used when talking about other people.

eg.

Deja que ÉL lo vea.

But "DEJALO VER" is also used.

But I don't know about other countries.It may depend.

As you said, either form can be used and I can´t think of a situation when one would be preferred over the other. I can only speak for usage in Mexico, where the first variant is more commonly used.

"Déjame ver" is definitely the preferred way to go.
