Indication As To Level

I know that it is not much to go on, but if I can understand this level of article, even if I don't know all of the words.

Would you say that low intermediate is a fair expression of my Spanish level, again recognizing the limited information given.

Thank you.

You are free to access your level of Spanish proficiency. We have some members who call themselves beginners but display a good understanding. The only thing that bothers me is when someone says they are fluent but give no proof by where they live. - Jubilado, Mar 30, 2016
or by telling us why they are fluent in more than one language. I want to trust the suggestions made by a fluent Spanish speaker as correct. Given the article you posted I think you can call yourself intermediate without question. - Jubilado, Mar 30, 2016
When people ask, I always Basico Uno, then their expectations f me aren't too high. - Rager, Mar 30, 2016
Thanks for the input Jubilando, but I don't get every word. For example ' cuadro' - was new to me. I thought 'picture frame' !! - Rager, Mar 30, 2016
There are quite a few words I didn't know. Do I need to know 90% to be around intermediate or more ? - Rager, Mar 30, 2016
Welcome to the forum. Well done for putting your language level. From your profile point of view intermediate is a wide band - not a beginner but not yet very good. Many people have nudged advanced whilst here but do not edit there profile. Are you based - Mardle, Mar 30, 2016
Is that Manchester New England or Old England? - Mardle, Mar 30, 2016

Looks good to me, I think you are at least intermediate or a little higher. I myself am a mid level student and if you check later, we also have some very high level and fluent teachers on this fotum who will also evaluate and help you. Thankyou and you g - 00cc0117, Mar 30, 2016
Typo (forum.) you get a vote from me. - 00cc0117, Mar 30, 2016
Oh! In the sentence above the word porque should be por que when used as why - 00cc0117, Mar 30, 2016
¿Por qué no podía la clínica de salud haberle dado agua al bebé? Rager, not only is your Spanish incorrect here, Your English is also in question. What is your native language? - Daniela2041, Mar 30, 2016
Ooops! I see you have listed yourself as fluent in English. Did you know that the last part of your question is incorrect? Instead of "have give" it should be "have given." - Daniela2041, Mar 30, 2016
you are correct, that was a typo. - Rager, Apr 2, 2016

Tomé una pastille para prevenir que tenga dolor de cabeza.

I took a tablet so that I would not get a headache.

Si hubiera ido a la universidad , habira ganado un trabajo mejor que tengo.

If I were to have gone to university I would have got a better job than I have.

Tomé una pastilla para que no tenga dolor de cabeza. (Your English is good on this one.) Or even simpler. Tomé una pastilla para no tener dolor de cabeza.

Si hubiera ido a la universidad, habría conseguido un trabajo mejor que lo que tengo.

You English is a little off. Here's my suggestion;

If I had gone to the university (or if I had gone to college) I would have gotten a better job than what I have.

I teach Spanish, French and occasionally English at the university level. I'm just letting you know in case you might wonder where I'm coming from.

Your English is probably fluent, but your knowledge of grammar needs improvement, like so many of my students.

From what I see here, I would call you an advanced beginner--that is, someone with a semester and a half of college level Spanish.

Gotten is extremely rare in British English - Mardle, Mar 30, 2016
It should be here too, but unfortunately it isn't. - rac1, Mar 30, 2016
"Gotten" is one of two p.part. of "to get" http://www.mit.edu/course/21/21.guide/get-got.htm - Daniela2041, Mar 30, 2016
I would have gotten a better job than what I have. than what I have !!! what I have !!! are you kidding me !! - Rager, Apr 1, 2016
That is so horribly incorrect, that there is no place to start. - Rager, Apr 1, 2016
and 'were to' is the correct way to use the subjunctive in English. - Rager, Apr 1, 2016

If you can, please write a sentence in English, then the same one in Spanish so we can see where you are in understanding? Vocabulary varies, and few people know all the many thousands of words in any language. Welcome to the forum.
