The name of the movie is "No desearás la mujer de tu prójimo".

I think it says "You will not desire the neighbor's woman", but this doesn't make sense to me. Please help.

Gracias.

Mujer is used for wife in some regions: It is one of the ten commandments:

"No desearás a la mujer de tu prójimo" (Éx. 20,17).

The future tense in Spanish can translate to "shall" in English. So in modern speech this would translate to "You shall not desire your neighbor's wife". But, as pointed out by Bosque, this is clearly a biblical reference so I would defer to his answer.

Yours is the more direct, modern translation. Mine is the archaic biblical. I think conceptually they are sufficiently similar. I hate to say I could write even more modern expressions of the concept, but I won't :D - bosquederoble, Mar 27, 2016
thsnks. I never never knew about the the "shall " part. - cmusba, Mar 27, 2016
Keep in mind, we often use will as a command in English. You will not say that- you won't go there. etc. :) - bosquederoble, Mar 27, 2016
And it is used as a prediction - shall is more like a promise in modern English. - ian-hill, Mar 27, 2016
"Spanish" should be capitalized. - rac1, Mar 27, 2016
