I'm having trouble getting my head around this phrase: Nadie se pone de acuerdo

(Nadie se pone de acuerdo en cuántas veces aparece el número 3 en esta imagen.) I believe it is 'No one(or nobody) agrees how many times the number 3 appears in this image'. I don't understand why it isn't: Nadie de acuerdo en cuántas....

¡Gracias por adelantado!

Nadie se pone de acuerdo

Nadie- No one

se pone- puts themself

de acuerdo- in agreement

No one comes to an agreement, or more naturally no one agrees.

Nadie de acuerdo

This lacks a verb- no one in agreement. Doesn’t make sense.

Nadie está de acuerdo- No one is in agreement. Maybe this was what your were trying for in your alternative.

This is just my opinion as an intermediate level learner.

I agree. Estoy de acuerdo. is for this reasson that the Spanish natives tend to translate it in English as "I am agree" - 000a35ff, Mar 8, 2016
