Tener expressions
Are there any tips, or any shared characteristics, to help remember all the various tener idioms, like "tener sed," "tener suerto," etc.?

Below is a chart with a bunch of them. The quickest way of learning them is by saying them. The human brain is wired to learn language by hearing and saying. When you say them, your brain is recording both events at the same time. Just make a mental picture of what is happening as you say each one.
For example, when saying "Tengo hambre" mentally picture to yourself being hungry.
(Too bad the chart turned out so small.)
There's lots of good info on the subject here.
Welcome to the forum. Can you add your level of English and Spanish to your profile? Anything else is up to you, but language level helps us to assess how to answer questions or assess answers.
I remember some years ago being given a quiz about phrases with tener.
Many of them seem to come in pairs.
Here is an article for Spaniards learning Englsh which you may find helpful:
Por ejemplo, yo siempre tengo miedo de tener frío, de no tener dinero suficiente y también me preocupo por tener dolor de cabeza y tener sueño durante mi clase de español, lo que puede ocasionar que no tenga nada más que decir ni escribir, y con eso, no voy a tener amigos, ni enemigos en internet, ya verás, con poco tiempo voy a perdir mi personalidad por no tener nada que hacer.
¡Que tengas un buen día!
