Buen amigo or amigo bueno?

Hi

I know that thses sentences " Yo tengo un buen amigo" and " Yo tengo un amigo bueno" are correct!

But what is the differece between them?? Could anyone please explain them in more detail?? I tried to understand but I couldn't!!!! :((((

In the first one "buen amigo" buen is referring to the relationship between me and my friend. Our relationship is good. The second one "bueno" is referring how my friend is. My friend is a good person.

This pattern also exists for other adjectives.

Tengo un viejo amigo (I have an old friend) vs. Tengo un amigo viejo (I have a friend who's old)

Tengo un nuevo libro (I have another book) vs Tengo un libro nuevo (I have a new book)

Tengo un buen amigo. if you say "Tengo un amigo bueno." It could easily be understood as "I have a hot friend".

But when you're talking about an inanimated object you could use either one.
