I noticed something guys!

You all use the grade "fluent" very rarley, instead you use advanced. I assume fluent is better than advanced, soooo... Am I better than the people who sets it to "advanced"? I don't think so really. But I am indeed fluent, you know.

http://www.3imobile.com/courses/skillleveldescription.htm

Here, I'm pretty much at 9, sooo... Most of the people I meet online says that I sound native even, I'm so proud.

What should I do?

Just for fun: at that scale, for Spanish I'm at 3.4 Oh and Chinese: 10+ And Swedish: 10+

When I joined, I wasn't sure how the language rating worked. I put my Spanish as intermediate, which seems an easy way to say I am not a beginner I could probably argue I am advanced, but I am aware of my weaknesses.

So far as English is concerned, it is my native tongue so obviously I put fluent.

I know many people from Northern Europe speak English exceptionally well.

I have not at this stage added much to my profile. I think for the purposes of this site if Spanish or English is not your native language you should mention it briefly.

There will be some people who are not hispanohablante but who live in a Spanish speaking country or have a partner who is a native Spanish speaker who can justifiably say they are fluent.

It is only a guide for anyone assessing an answer you have given or commenting on a question.

As I am more comfortable with the idioms and grammar from Spain I am always pleased when the hispanohablantes from Spain answer. I have a feel for answers now and the effort people put in.

Advanced flags someone as not native, but as of an excellent standard.

As your profile explains your amazing linguistic achievements, if your English is fluent, go for it!
