Help Translating a Phrase for My Oral Presentation

Help Translating a Phrase for My Oral Presentation

So I was preparing for my oral presentation in a few days for Spanish and I came across a phrase I'm not exactly sure how to translate. I am trying to say "She makes the lives of the students terrible." So far, I have come up with "Ella hace las vidas de los estudiantes terribles." however this translates to "the terrible students" instead of "terrible lives." How do I say this?

I would understand your sentence the way you said it, but I think a more 'natural' way of saying it would be: Ella le hace la vida imposible a sus estudiantes.
