If I am trying to say I am the youngest brother, is this correct?
Somos tres hermanos: tengo dos hermanos mayores y yo soy
el menor (joven).
If I am trying to say the Vatican is the smallest, is this correct? El Vaticano tiene una población de sólo setecientos setenta personas y es el estado independiente el menor (pequeño) del mundo.

Only one can be the oldest (mayor), so I would say: Somos tres hermanos, dos hermanos que son más grandes que yo, el menor.
I wouldn´t use menor in this sentence: El Vaticano tiene una población de sólo setecientos setenta personas y es el país más pequeño del mundo.
