What do these song lyrics mean?

I have a few quick lines from a song I don't understand. The song is called "solo juega un corazón"... that itself is something I don't understand. Could it mean "she only plays a heart"? Here's more context: Que tengo claro que en este juego de dos solo juega un corazón.

Can't really figure it out.

Also, in a different song, the singer says "te di mis días como si de respirar se tratase."... the main part I don't understand is "de respirar se tratase"... Does it mean something like "I gave you my days as if it were a matter of breathing"?

Please tell me what these lyrics mean. Gracias smile

Hi Soywaz! I am not qualified to give you the best answer that is why I just comment. I don't have a clue about second sentence but for the first sentence : "I am sure, in this game of two, only plays one heart" - That is how I translated. :) - AndréYuhai, Feb 14, 2016
Translating poetry is an art not a science it is very difficult , you may get ten different interpretations from as many people . - ray76, Feb 15, 2016

Here is my attempt at translating the chorus, the whole song is rather long:

Perdón si te duele, si te digo que te quiero

pero no de la manera que tú quieres, perdóname...

Entiende que si no estoy contigo

es porque sin mi estarías mejor,

que no puedo sentir lo que un día sentí,

si se acabó, por favor, entiéndelo,

no te das cuenta de que este amor ya terminó,

ya tengo claro que en este juego de dos,

sólo juega un corazón.

I'm sorry if it hurts you if I say I love you,

but not in the way you want me to. Forgive me.

Understand that if I'm not with you

it is because you would be better off without me,

that I can no longer feel what I used to feel ( that I felt one day),

if it's over, please understand that,

you've not understood that this love is over now but to me it is clear that in this game for two only one heart is playing ( taking part).

The second question: "te di mis días como si de respirar se tratase' I gave you my days as if it were a matter of breathing'' something like that.

Thank you Dani, it took so long that I started to wish I had never looked up the lyrics. - annierats, Feb 14, 2016
Thanks! You translated those lyrics perfectly, and answered both questions. It was the only answer, but if there were more I think this would still be the best, so you get Best Answer :) - soywaz, Feb 16, 2016
That is very kind of you, Soywas, thank you! - annierats, Feb 16, 2016
