Testing Out of Spanish 4

Testing Out of Spanish 4

Hello, so I am currently a freshman in high school taking Spanish 3. Over time, I have learned to love Spanish and learning new tenses and grammatical concepts, so I was wondering whether I should try and study to test out of Spanish 4. Spanish comes pretty easily to me, and I'm not sure how to say this, but it all just "clicks." I was wondering if I should and how to go about learning the subjunctive mood.

Hi.

I wonder whether you should be asking your Spanish teacher(s) this? We don't know as much about you and your situation.

Testing out of a level is hard, and doing so makes the following level harder as well, because you will have missed out on some details and practice. But you seem motivated, and I'm all for not taking the easy route.

The Web is full of good resources for learning the subjunctive. For example, the grammar page on this site contains links to many worthwhile lessons. There are also good books, like "Spanish Verb Tenses" (in the "Practice Makes Perfect" series) by Dorothy Richmond.

As you continue learning, if you have questions, please post them here. But first, please complete your profile, at least as regards language proficiency. Thanks, and good luck.

I wondered what the expression testing out meant ! If I am correct, it seems to mean to skip/miss a level - FELIZ77, Feb 11, 2016
Yes, Feliz, that is what it means. Taking a test instead of taking a course. - jtaniel, Feb 11, 2016

Hola, Pritzel.

Te voy a dar unos enlaces a unas pruebas de colocación. (placement tests)

Puedes usar éstas para determinar si estás listo para aprobar un exámen de salida de español IV. Si todavía no sabes lo del subjunctivo déjame asegurarte de que te será dificilísimo aprobar un exámen de español IV.

Hay más enlaces. Hay que buscar en Google "Spanish placement tests."
