How to say "ing" when not using present progressive?
Like if I were to say "I'm planning a wedding" or "We're going to the store" or "I'm getting sick" it's not happening in this very moment so I would not use the present progressive, what do I use instead?
Thanks!!

You asked:

Spanish natives simply use the present indicative tense which can mean:
I do, or I am doing something! ![]()
ex 1.Hablo con mis amigos I speak /or I am speaking to (with) my friends.
2 Vamos al parque = We go / We are going to the park
3 Trabajan en la farmacia = They work in the pharmacy
The present progressive tense is only used to refer to actions in the NOW, that means to refer to an action or actions that are actually taking place.NOW! If it is not actually taking place you use the present indicative (tense)!
If you want to talk about something you do on a regular basis in Spansh you also use the present:
ex: Esteban se levanta a las 7 todos los días =Stephen gets up at 7 o'clock every day.
You can find out more about how to use the present indicative in the SpanishDict grammar section.! Here is a direct link which may be helpful: enter link description here
I hope this helps ![]()
