Sweep me off my feet
Hola,
Is there an expression in Spanish equivalent to "Sweep me off my feet"?
Muchas gracias

Yo nada más estaba coqueteando, pero él me hizo perder la cabeza.
I was only playing "hard to get" (or flirting) but he swept me off my feet. (literally lose my head.)

Hello Wigzee,
Welcome to the SpanishDict forum ![]()
The Oxford English /Spanish Dictionary gives an example to show this:
She was swept off her feet by an older man = Se enamoró perdidamente de un hombre mayor que ella
Now, It's really funny (strange) that you should mention this very expression because I have recently used such an expression in one of my captions for Picure of the Day! This is a excerpt which shows it:
She wanted him to propose in style (in a grand manner! wink Now it looks like likely that he is going to literally sweep his girlfriend off her feet! lol wink
Con correcciones:¡Ella quería que él le propusiera (o proponiera) matrimonio a ella a lo grande! ¡Ahora es probable que se vaya a enamorar (locamente) perdidadmente de su novia, literalmente! wink
Ella quería que él le propusiera matrimonio a lo grande'..que vaya a enamorarse.. ;I'd use 'de verdad/literalmente' at the end smile - Pablo064 19 hrs ago
Pablo and Daniela are two of our native Spanish-speakers (hisanohablantes) who are kind enough to frequently offer corrections in this thread. You can view my full post in proper context, and others' posts too, by clicking on and following this link: enter link description here
