Ver Conjugation
Does the preterite conjugation of the verb "ver" in the preterite yo form have an accent on the "i"?
¿Tiene el verbo "ver" un accento sobre "i" en la forma de preterito singular?

It did in the past, but that was dropped quite a while ago (I think 1959).
You may still see it in some older books.

Since the original date of publication of this textbook in 1951, the guardians of the Spanish language, Real Academia de la Lengua Española, has officially removed the accents on some one-syllable Spanish words, but the old spellings still appear in it. Still, common irregular verbs have changed, such as ví, vió, dí, dió, fuí and fué that are changed to vi, vio, di, dio, fui and fue, and old spellings also appear in exercises using these words without changing their pronunciation.
