I have a Lenovo Thinkpad and I would like to know how to type Spanish punctuation (Upside down question marks and exclamation marks, accented letters, etc.) on your everyday word document.

Hi livlaughlove!

If I am not mistaken and since Lenovo Thinkpad is also a laptop, you've asked for this :

Link

á = Alt + 0225

é = Alt + 0233

í = Alt + 0237

ó = Alt + 0243

ú = Alt + 0250

ñ = Alt + 0241

ü = Alt + 0252

¡ = Alt + 0161

¿ = Alt + 0191

Thses work for me. I don't ever use the ones at the bottom of the answer box, I can type the alt key and punch in the number quicker than going all the way down and looking for whatever I want. - Daniela2041, Jan 26, 2016

I use a US International Keyboard layout instead of the standard one:

Which gets me everything except the upside down exclamation, which I just cut and paste. And it does so without altering it beyond use in English as well (I found the Spanish keyboard just too radically different).

I am on a windows 7 right now, so this is the site for that, it seems to work the same in windows 8 or 10 though:

'e gets é , same with all vowels

' shift e gets É, etc.

alt n gets ñ

shift alt / gets ¿

shift ' u gets ü

It's easy enough to get used to.

If you want a quote followed by a vowel you need to remember a space between though, or you get an accented vowel instead.
