There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.
Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

1 Although I usually highlight corrected words so that I and others can learn from my mistakes and that the (native) corrector can see that I have made the necessary corrections,when I participate in Word of the Day I normally also highlight this special word! Today it is dominar As anyone can see, this is not highlghted as a correction because it is a corrected word but because it is the Spanish Word of the Day!
2.I often think that learning a new language or continuing to learn an existing one is like the experience of trying to climb a mountain range: you climb one peak (summit) only to discover that there are many more mountain peaks behind the first one! That's how it is with learning languages ...you never stop learning! lol
Nota/s del editor: A menudo pienso que aprender un nuevo idioma, o seguir a aprender un idioma actual es como la experiencia cuando tratas de subir (o escalar) una cordillera: subes hasta la cima, pero por fin te das cuenta de que hay mucho más montañas detrás de la primera lol ¡Así lo hace con aprender los idiomas (las lenguas) .... nunca dejas de aprender!
