I am a widow. How should I nicely say "my late husband." Somehow "difunto marido" doesn't sound good to me.

I too am a widow, and regardless of how it sounds, it's correct.

As Daniela says, or , if you don't like saying mi difunto marido an alternative is: mi marido, que en paz descanse.
