Just today my uncle was saying he wanted him and me to go on a trip to Mexico and that nothing bad could happen. He's nicest and smartest guy I know, but is always convinced that everything will have a happy ending.

I think that it behoves us all to be wary wherever we travel nowadays
Thank you for keeping us up - to date mate.
The US always has a travel warning active about some part(s) of Mexico. Even when there are large parts of the US that are statistically far more dangerous. As Ray says you need to be careful where ever you are, including where you live and work.
There are one million (yes 1,000,000) expatriot Americans living full time in Mexico. And most would tell you that they feel safer here than in the US with its school, office, theater and mall shootings. At least here most of the violence is between drug cartels and the government.
Yes gringo. I was in Cabo San Lucas a month ago, and we felt very safe. The Mexican people were friendly and accommodating.
Nice thread.
Hola, amigo Feliz. No puedo contestar el comentario arriba, por eso lo escribí aquí. Hay algunos problemas con el software de mi computadora. Muchas gracias, y Próspero año nuevo! Saludos!
I think I'd be more worried about the new strain of mosquitoes carrying Zika virus in South America that I saw on the news this morning. Although it appears to be mainly affecting unborn children (?). Best bring plenty of insect repellant.
