What does me tiene manía mean?

What does me tiene manía mean?

Gracias.

It means the tutor has taken against the boy, she doesn't like him, she picks on him. Or at least, so he thinks, the tutor may think he deserves what he gets!

Okay, sorry I didnt realize that it wasn't homework it just sounded like a homework kind of question! You are very welcome :) - FELIZ77, Jan 18, 2016
Zhemelissa, in what subject did you graduate, please ? - FELIZ77, Jan 18, 2016
I am also sorry because I had not read your profile again before answering your question and therefore I thought that I had explalned it clearly. - FELIZ77, Jan 18, 2016
I had also wrongly assumed that you were from the U.S.A (America) and English was your first language - FELIZ77, Jan 18, 2016

Hello Zhemelissa,

Very interesting and intelligent question! wink

You asked: What does me tiene manía mean?

According to the Oxford English/Spanish Dictionary, the expression: Tenerle manía a alguien (means) = 'To have it in' for somebody.

This is a colloquial expression,. and it makes perfect senseto me in (or given) the context

I have given you the tool (key); now I am sure you can use it wink

I hope this helps smile

I really can't do your homework for you, you must think about the answer now! ;) - FELIZ77, Jan 18, 2016
Feliz´s translation is correct, it means the tutor has an agenda of making it difficult for the boy to do well in this course - 005faa61, Jan 18, 2016
Thank you,very much for confirming my translation Julian :) - FELIZ77, Jan 18, 2016
