Homework Help Please!

Question

Hey guys, would really appreciate if someone could point out any mistakes or things that sound unnatural or don't translate well in this short paragraph.

"Fui con mi familia inmediata y extendida. Usualmente, nos gustaría alquilar una caravan en parquet de caravanas cerca de la playa. Era fácil de hacer amigos con otros niños que se quedan en el parque. Alquilábamos las bicicletas para explorar. Nos encontramos el mejor crepería así que comimos allí casi cada día. Espero volver al sur de Francia pronto o tal vez con mi propia familia."

Hola amigo!

I can't say that I am really a good Spanish speaker. But I just can try to help you by asking some of my native friends. At least with some words. Firstly, wish you wrote the english version of what you wanted to translate. Then It would be easier

I think ;

1. It should be "en un parque" instead of "parquet".
2. And instead of using "de" between two verbs you should just use them together without anything like : " era facil hacer amigos con otros niños"
3. About "se quedan" . I think It should be in the past form due to the tense of the sentence itself. So It should be like : " Era facil hacer amigos con otros niños que se quedaron en el parque."

The only caution i would add is that sometimes it is necessary to add a preposition between two verbs eg Estoy encantado DE conocerle = I am pleased to meet you :) - FELIZ77, Jan 16, 2016

"De nada, Por Favor" to Spanish ears sounds funny. Maybe we can use an abbreviation such as "P F D Ray always call me "F Y S" for feisty Yank sheila. :) I may use F Y S as a user name on another site. . - Daniela2041, Jan 17, 2016
