Despedida Severus Snape , A K A Allan Rickman

A Great English actor Allan Rickman died yesterday of cancer

He was perhaps best known for playing a villain to perfection

although in reality he was a gentle loving man with prodigious ability.

One of his famous roles was in the "Harry Potter ** movies as the

teacher "Severus Snape"", he also played an arch villain in "Die Hard"

I was not familiar with him as much as the rest of the world being somewhat removed from movies and theater, but I knew he looked familiar and finally discovered that he played Dr. Lazarus / Alexander Dane in the movie Galaxy Quest, one of the funniest movies in my opinion. "Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."

Internationally, he was known for playing the villain, but I preferred his lighter roles like a British version of Ghost - Truly Madly Deeply

Truly Madly Deeply

Here is a very short film where he recorded the audio at home the month before he died.

Tortoise charity video

and here you can enjoy his mellifluous voice and perfect diction reading a Shakespeare sonnet [words below video]

I have seen him many times in various movies, including Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, and never knew who he was. I guess I can't cover everything, but I try to keep up. (Big sigh)

I can see now that he could play any part, serious or funny or whatever. Here is a picture of his "whatever." I love it.

I think that was as Sheriff of Nottingham. - ray76, Jan 17, 2016
Yep, typos. When I handwrite I don't make those kind of mistakes. Correcting now. - Daniela2041, Jan 17, 2016
