La Palabra Del Dia: "vuelta"
vuelta ( vwehl'-tah )
noun ( turn; return; stroll; )

There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.
Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Tenemos un largo viaje (92 millas en cada dirección), así que estudiamos español en el coche, durante el viaje ida y vuelta al trabajo. Es verdad en la vida real.
We have a long commute (92 miles each way), so we study Spanish in the car, while traveling (during the trip) back and forth to work. It is true in real life.

Un viaje de ida y vuelta a Marte sería más caro que simplemente hacer aterrizar (¿amartizar?) una sonda allí debido al combustible necesario para relanzar, y sí enviaran gente, los sistemas necesarios para sostener sus vidas harían que fuera aún más caro.
(Not sure if I could simply go with ...harían ser aún...)
A round trip to Mars would be more expensive than simply landing a probe there due to the fuel necessary for relaunch, and if they sent people, the systems necessary to sustain their lives would make it even more expensive.

La vuelta al mundo en 80 días fue una famosa novela y una famosa película también, pero en la forma protagonizada por unos animales humanizados habia podido entretener a los más pequeños pero, al mismo tiempo, conquistando la imaginación de los padres.

This is just to answer a request for what my bike looked like. I don't have it anymore. It's a Suzuki Boulevard C109RT. And mine did have the shield (el parabrisas) which is missing in my "Demos una vuelta" answer. I have a smaller bike more suitable for messing around in the desert now.

In the desert. This isn't me, but my bike is like this one.
