"description" You must make an attempt yourself , but be careful that this is not a personal attack on a fellow student. - ray76, Jan 10, 2016
Spanish should be capitalized. Please make a correction. - rac1, Jan 10, 2016

Welcome to the forum. Can you put on your profile your level of Spanish and English. I assume fluent English beginner Spanish.

To make your sentences more interesting you just build the way you would in English though the word order in Spanish is a little different. So you want to add some adjectives to go with your nouns and adverbs with your verbs. If you do a search there are lots of articles as to how to make adverbs and adjectives. To make a sentence you need to join everything together. Here is an enormous list of linking words

Connectors heptagrama

Revise where to place adjectives. If it is a physical description do a search on the net there are lots of sites with the vocabulary you need.

Here is one to start you off - the Lady who has written the post has a web site with loads of helpful information:

The transparent language blog

However, if you are a beginner your teacher will be looking at whether your adjectives agree with the nouns, if you have conjugated/ formed your verbs correctly and if you have put on the correct accents.

You can make your sentences more complex by hooking dependent clauses to your independent clause. For example, if you want to say that Maria is slim, you might write simply "Maria es delgada," or you might make the sentence more complex by writing something like "Cuando miro a Maria, veo a una muchacha delgada."

You can use Mardle's list of connecting words to hook clauses together and an English-Spanish dictionary to look up words that you don't know in Spanish. If you post your best effort here, someone will be happy to correct any mistakes for you. Good luck!

Hello Disney,

Welcome to SpanishDict forum smile

You asked:

Well, I have just read your question and request for help and I understand your situation, but you need to make an attempt to write this description "in your own words" then post your best attempt here and we will be happy to check it and offer corrections, guidance and advice! wink

I will give you a couple of tips: 1. Use the verb ser (to be) to describe a person's characteristics/traits, eg: She is intelligent = (ella) Es inteligente 2.You can use conjunctions such as, but and therefore, to join sentences and make the grammatical structure more complex and interesting. You will find these words in any good Spanish Dictionary: R.A.E (Real Academia Española) Oxford, Collins, Larrouse, or you can use our free online translator to check simple words and sentences. Here's a tip: The online translator, like most automatic translators is not usually accurate for translating idioms (sayings) like, "It's raining cats and dogs!"

We will not do people's homework for them ...your teacher needs to know what "you" can do...s/he will not appreciate us doing your work for you and frankly speaking, what would you gain from us doing that?!

We really look forward to reading your best attempt and helping you to improve it! wink
