You've got me on this one. I use "por medio de" (by means of) Maybe Txustaboy will see this and jump in. or Julian Chivi. I have an idea what it means, but I won't post it for the sake of the beginners, just in case it's wrong. - Daniela2041, Jan 6, 2016

Involved works for me- or through the midst of it.

More colloquially

We will talk while we have a few glasses of wine

Is how I would interpret it personally.

Like I said, I had some other meaning. This makes sense to me. I'll see if any of my Spanish teacher friends recognize it. I would render your "colloquial" sentence as "Tomaremos una copa mientras hablamos." - Daniela2041, Jan 7, 2016

Yes, I meant just the way I would express the concept most naturally in English, whichI guess is not exactly what colloquial meant. And I probably would have come up with a similar Spanish equivalent for that to the one you did. Thanks. :) - bosquederoble, Jan 7, 2016
