There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. For the Spanish sentences, edit your posts according to the native Spanish speaker's suggestions. Vivo al lado de las marismas de Barbate y normalmente hay inundaciones todos los inviernos, pero este año hemos disfrutado de un tiempo suave, casi sin lluvia. Claro que necesitamos agua, pero de verdad espero que las inundaciones habituales no lleguen a las alturas del año pasado.
I live next to the Barbate marshes and normally there is flooding evey winter but this autumn we've enjoyed very mild weather with hardly any rain. Of course we need rain but ,truthfully, I hope the water-level of these normal floods won't come up as high it was last year.
