Happy new year everyone, what will you be doing today? I will have a cheese board in the evening, peaches, pineapples and olives, will skype in the new year with my parents as they are in Alicante spain on holiday and we will watch the new year display in London on tv, should be a good one.

Good one mate! I will be going to my Irish friends home on a property high

above Melbourne to view all the fireworks displays in the City, today is 40C

and a total fire ban day all over the State of Victoria, we are praying for no more

bush fires , we have already had one Christmas day which destroyed 116 houses

We will of course be celebrating 12 hours from now as we are 1 day and 50

years ahead of you there in London.

Yesterday we made tamales, so today and tomorrow we will be eating them. We will spend time with the family and meet my daughter-in-law's boyfriend's mother for the first time if she comes. It is almost always in the 80s so we will probably go and relax in the river if it doesn't rain. Maybe even make "pinchos de carne" there.

¡Tengo la intención de celebrar el principio del año nuevo 2016 en la misma manera de la gente de España: voy a comer doce uvas dentro de doce segundos antes del gran reloj de fama mundial "Big Ben" en Londres da la hora de las doce de la noche! Sin embargo, no voy a hacerlo por causa de superstición...tengo absoluta confianza en JesuCristo como mi salvador para protergerme contra mal, sólo quiero comer las uvas para celebrar el neuvo año en una manera diferente!

I intend (plan) to celebrate the beginning of the new Year 2016 in the same way as the people of Spain: I am going to eat twelve grapes in twelve seconds before the great clock of the world famous "Big Ben" in London, strikes midnight! However, I am not going to do it on account of (or because of) superstition....I have every confidence in Jesus Christ my Saviour to protect me from (against) all evil...I only want to eat the grapes to celebrate the New Year in a different way!

Esta noche en unas horas vamos a gritar "Happy New Year" a nuestro vecinario y esperar que nadie no nos de un balazo (uds. saben como aman los estadounidenses sus armas de fuego). Para mis amigos acá les saludo un prósero año nuevo (lleno de la paz).
